1960s Delta Rockwell Sander, Model 31-501 6x48 Belt Pt.1 - Reassembly (Detailed, Long format)
I recently bought a used Delta Rockwell Sander. It has a 6" x 48" Belt. The model is 31-501. The belt sander is typical of a machine that has been neglected and needed a complete teardown. In this video, I recondition and reassemble the belt sander. I also 3d print a dust chute at the very end, enjoy!

    I just did the Alternator twice in 4 months on my 07 Pilot, the replacement only lasted 4 months before failing, you can remove both the power steering and coolest reservoirs and move them out of the way to make it easier, the power steering reservoir bracket which is held by 10 mm bolt can be taken out also. On the bottom alternator mount on the engine there is a bushing on the front bolt hole that can be gently taped to open the space so the new alternator slides in easier. 👍

      I do still use it. Currently it is put away because I am not using it, but it still works great, my only complaint is that it is heavy, and I should have triple coated it in paint as the winters have been hard on the plywood. Also the flip down stops have dried so much that they are a bit loose.

    What is the exact name of the drill bit you used so I may purchase one?

    • @skudwoofer
      @skudwoofer 2 месяца назад

      I am not sure on the size, but it is just a concrete bit. Depending on the drill you plan to use, there are different shank (the part that goes onto the chuck) designs out there. If you are using a regular drill with a "hammer" setting on it, just get a smooth shank, otherwise you will need to get a drill bit that matches the hammer drill you have. The concrete bits have carbide tips bonded onto the ends of the drill bit and are at any big box store such as lowes or home depot

    Great video! I actually pulled my pump off of my 1979 Ford Bronco at it looks exactly like the one you just rebuilt. The only thing I saw different is you had to get something off of the shaft. Mine just slid out as just the shaft. My rebuild kit also comes with a shaft bushing. I didn't see anywhere that you replaced that. I think you took some emory cloth to it. Once again...great video. This will help me a lot!!!

    This is what CATIA does best. The tree is not just top to bottom but it also protrudes to the side and you can work object oriented. Feature oriented makes most sense this way you can subdivide the part into say 1. Base 2. Rib 3. and something else also fillet chamfer cut out etc everything accordingly. Doing it object oriented you can replace whole feature sets or move them in XYZ or whatever without causing any problems into unrelated areas, that´s basically the whole point of parametric workflow. This Video is basically 30% of all the knowledge you need as a CAD designer. Thank you

    Good video, and great to see what I'm getting into on my 1989 F250. If you had squeezed the whole assembly together, compressing that Belleville washer (what you called a "spring washer"), it would have made getting that first circlip out a LOT easier. I'm assuming that all the work with the shaft was because you don't have a hydraulic press. As you discovered, the little wood clamp isn't a substitute for even a little 12-ton press.

It kept the pipes from rusting and looked very sharp. He then took a lacquer paint stick and filled in the stamped measurements on the pipe in front. I'm going to do that to mine whether I ever find that video again or not. The crank handles on my Rockwell 9" contractor saw are worn out too. Maybe I'll be able to find some like you did on Amazon that will fit my saw.

    I bought a rebuilt power steering pump from Rock Auto, the brand is BBB INDUSTRIES 7112121. When I first replaced my pump I also replaced all lines & hoses as I was tired of having issues with leaking as well as an inline filter. The inline filter was junk from the start as the O ring had broken inside. It came with a replacement! The Power steering pump I bought has failed on me twice now and I rarely used the truck. DO NOT buy these pumps. It comes with a 3 year warranty but the job of replacing it is tiresome and difficult so this time I elected to rebuild the pump myself so to make sure all internals are good from the start. I also took a used Power steering pump off another junked truck I have to use for possibly broken parts inside the pump. In retrospect I wish I had bought a brand new pump instead of a rebuild. Rock Auto is impossible to deal with as there's no way to talk with a real person ever. For that reason alone I have quit ordering from them.

    • @skudwoofer

      in my case the purpose of running conduit is for cut or impact safety. Normally the sheetrock is your safety layer, but in this case where the wiring is on the face of the wall, it would be easy to puncture and thus a shock hazard.
